Prevent Stretch Marks Rather Than Get Rid of Stretch Marks

Most women with stretch marks are obsessive over trying to get rid of them. No matter how hard you try to get rid of stretch marks, they are there to stay. There is absolutely no way to remove them. Therefore, instead of trying to get rid of stretch marks, what we should be doing is trying to prevent new ones from appearing.

Stretch marks appear when the tissues underneath the skin are torn from overstretching. On the surface of the skin, these marks appear as red, purple or yellow lines that look like a road map across the skin. Once they are there, you might as well get used to them because they are there for life. They will fade over time and be a lot less noticeable. The fading process can be sped up by using creams that contain ingredients known to heal the skin.

Eating foods rich in vitamins A, C, D, and E will help to improve your health, and the health of your skin. Drinking plenty of water helps to keep your skin and body hydrated and also flushes your body of toxins. Exercise regularly because what is good for the body is good for the skin. Doing these things will help to improve the look of existing stretch marks, and prevent new ones from appearing.
